Four layers of tender brown sugar sponge topped and filled with gooey salted caramel sauce, wrapped in a caramel miso buttercream.

It’s made without eggs or dairy, starting with a combination of dairy free buttermilk and yoghurt for that incredibly tender crumb. Sweetened with brown sugar its got a gorgeous caramel flavour and deep rich colour. Inbetween each layer is my 3 ingredient caramel for that gooey texture which pairs so well with the soft sponge. Wrapped in a miso caramel buttercream to reveal some salty umami notes, this cake is full of flavour,
